New Appointment Andrew Elvin – Chief Executive Officer

Coast2Bay Housing Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Elvin MA BA (hons) to the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Andrew has 25 years experience as a chief executive, executive, manager and development consultant in the not for profit, government, human services, health, community housing, mental health, aged care and disability sectors in the UK and Australia.

His extensive international knowledge of community housing models and practice gained from his work as a Board Director of three community housing providers, and his experience in developing and implementing ground-breaking community led programmes have received wide recognition.

Andrew also has a first class Masters Degree in Criminology and Social Policy from Middlesex University (UK) and extensive experience in working across many social policy areas to create effective social inclusion.

Andrew said ‘It is an honour to take over the role as CEO of Coast2Bay Housing Group, it is a delight to hear the personal stories and experiences of those who have found an affordable place to live .For me to be personally involved in providing support to make an affordable home a reality for many, brings a great sense of personal fulfilment’

Andrew came into the role when national data from Shelter shows the crisis in rental affordability across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions. Commenting upon this  Andrew said ‘I see it a real priority to do more to raise awareness about the rental crisis issue and promote solutions that can meet the needs of individuals and families who need Community and Affordable housing in our region’

Andrew will commence his new role from October 2015.
