Across December we held four wonderful Christmas celebrations. Tenants and their families had a chance to connect with each other, our team and enjoy the party.
Our Sunshine Coast family party was enjoyed by all; however, the show was stolen by none other than The Grinch! A pinata, hand-made by one of our tenants – it weighed a tonne, and one young lad went home delighted, holding onto The Grinch’s head! Thanks to HYPT for providing fantastic, high-energy entertainment – the kids were worn out by the end!
In Moreton Bay, the families jumped their way through 2 hours of fun at ‘Bounce’ – what a fantastic venue. The kids had a blast and were blown away by the catering – pizza, pies, chips, sandwiches, fruit, cakes and even a slushie! I think they really felt like Christmas had arrived once they received their gifts at the end.
We of course didn’t forget our adult tenants – Christmas isn’t just for kids! The Caloundra RSL very kindly donated a Christmas lunch for our tenants with 120 joining the team to celebrate. Our tenants said it was such a lovely opportunity to join together and have a yarn. They loved the Christmas atmosphere and the delicious food. Many thanks to the RSL functions team – the event space, organisation and food were all impeccable!
The year culminated with the Gympie crew gathering at the historic Kingston House Impressions Restaurant for lunch, great company and lots of laughs. These opportunities of coming together have a positive impact on us all. Thanks to everyone involved in making these celebrations a success.
