The Nirimba Community launch event, hosted by Coast2Bay, was a resounding success, bringing together residents and local organisations in an afternoon filled with meaningful connections and community spirit.
The event commenced with a traditional Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony led by Undumbi Culture, followed by a delightful afternoon tea, generously supported by Simplee Sweet, who donated beautifully iced cupcakes that were enjoyed by all attendees, especially the children who also participated in various activities and received gifts.
Community guests, like Rhythm Espresso Aura, joined the event, providing delicious coffee and sharing exciting news about their upcoming social enterprise café. Representatives from Caloundra Community Centre and Gateway Care Food Centre were also in attendance, welcoming new tenants to the community and explaining the valuable services they offer.
