Each household member will need to provide all supporting information with their application, including:

Employment details
Proof of income (last 12 months of payslips or BAS statements if self-employed)
100 points of ID
Rental references
Details of all household members and dependents

What Happens Next

Applications will be assessed in the order they are received and checked against the Affordable Housing criteria. If you are eligible, our team will contact you to arrange an inspection of the available properties.

Eligibility Criteria for Affordable Housing

Eligibility for our affordable housing properties is set by the Queensland Government as part of the Housing Investment Fund program. A summary of the criteria is provided below. 

Applicants must:

Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an eligible visa
Live in Queensland
Not own, or part own, a property (some exceptions may apply)
Meet the liquid assets test
Not earn more than the set household income threshold below

How is rent calculated for affordable housing?

Rent is generally capped at 75% of the current market rate and should not exceed 30% of your household income.

Do I need to be on the social housing register?

No, affordable housing is a separate pathway. You can apply directly with us.

What happens if my income changes?

If your income or circumstances change, please let your Tenancy Manager know as soon as possible. We review eligibility each year to make sure households still meet the criteria for their allocated property. Our team is here to support you and help you stay on the right housing pathway.

How do I know if there are vacancies?
