Very excited to announce we have been successful with receiving funding in the Federal Government’s Safe Places Emergency Accommodation initiative. This will mean we can expand the RISE (Restart In A Safe Environment) project from 2 dwellings to 10 over the next 9 months
Our CEO, Andrew Elvin said “This is welcome news for the women and children impacted by domestic and family violence on the Sunshine Coast as it massively extends our partnership work to help them Restart In A safe Environment (RISE) alongside counselling and support given through The Salvation Army. This has only been possible because of the innovative model and philanthropic donation of land facilitated by the Zonta Club of Caloundra in 2017. 20 women and 40 children will have access to the RISE program each year by the end of the 20/21 financial year”
