Housing Minister Meaghan Scanlon, along with Member for Caloundra Jason Hunt and Member for Nicklin Rob Skelton took a tour of our latest development at Farrell Street, Yandina. The development will deliver 23 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom homes, with completion expected in October and tenants moving in prior to Christmas.
At the visit, The Minister announced the Government’s Housing Investment Fund (HIF) partnership with Coast2Bay. The funding will allow Coast2Bay to purchase up to 121 homes across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Gympie, with most of the homes exiting from the National Rental Affordability Scheme.
The investment is part of a record $5 billion for social and affordable homes – the largest investment in Queensland’s history – to help deliver 13,500 homes. Local media covered the event with SC 7 News, WIN and ABC all present. News coverage can be viewed here: https://fb.watch/mhQ_5vEPTD/?mibextid=cr9u03
