Queensland Government – working together for better housing and sustainable communities discussion paper
Coast2Bay Housing Group welcomes the opportunity to participate in discussing the future housing strategy for Queensland. Coast2Bay Housing Group has risen to the challenge issued by Minister Mick de Brenni to help shape the future housing strategy for Queensland. Twenty contributors drawn from tenants, staff and directors attended the community forums held at Burpengary (Moreton Bay) and Kawana (Sunshine Coast) on Friday 13 May 2016.
Coast2Bay Housing Group Chief Executive Officer Andrew Elvin said
“The Minister is making the right moves to shape a strategy for housing in Queensland for the next ten years. Our tenants and staff welcome the opportunity to share ideas directly with him and discuss possible solutions to meet the needs in our region. The Minister has taken a leading role in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders on this important issue for Queenslanders – he is to be congratulated on his approach”
Housing rental affordability and access to housing for those most in need are critical issues for ordinary Australians living in our region. Coast2Bay is seeking to support the discussion by contacting all tenants and investors to encourage them to take part by through the ‘Working Together’ survey.
