Coast2Bay actively encourages tenants to participate in the activities of the company. The purpose of tenant participation is to encourage Coast2Bay tenants to be involved in the decision-making and delivery of their housing, to build and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between tenants and Coast2Bay.
Coast2Bay aims to provide the best possible housing and housing outcomes for and with its tenants. There are both formal and informal processes for Tenant Participation.
Strategies for both formal and informal tenant participation in the activities of the Coast2Bay include “”
• Consultations, forums and surveys “” seeking feedback, input and the views of tenants on a range of topics and issues
• Annual tenant satisfaction surveys “” to assess the level of satisfaction, gain feedback and suggestions for improvements, as an essential part of on-going quality improvement strategies
• Quarterly Tenant Newsletters “” tenant contributions to newsletters and other publications of Coast2Bay
• Correspondence “” invitations to feedback will be requested from specific tenants where an issue concerns them directly
• Occasional meetings, projects and forums “” tenants are encouraged to participate in developmental processes by contributing time and expertise and to undertake tasks associated with the projects
• Volunteering “” tenants may be interested from time to time in contributing to projects, events, social occasions or general tasks of the Coast2Bay
• Tenant groups “” encouraging, resourcing and facilitating tenant groups: formation, meetings, activities, recording decisions and achievements and providing information to Coast2Bay
• Access to meeting rooms “” for tenant meetings, events, functions or forums
• Exit interviews “” where appropriate exit interviews will be conducted by Housing Managers in order to gain feedback from tenants
• Feedback sheets “” pro forma feedback sheets will be included (with a stamped self addressed envelope) in all tenant information kits. Tenants can provide feedback anonymously.
• Suggestion box “” a suggestion and feedback box with feedback forms will be placed in the reception area of the office
• Maintenance feedback “” regular and prompt feedback from tenants will be sought on all repairs and maintenance issues
Coast2Bay will give due consideration to all forms of feedback sought and provided by tenants. Those tenants who provide their names and contact details will be provided with a response to their feedback.
