Affordable Homes Collaboration

Jess Knott (Coast2Bay Housing Group), Wendy Gleeson (Project Manager, Sunshine Coast Council), Minister Lance McCallum (Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development) and Councillor David Law (Community Portfolio Councillor, Sunshine Coast Council) discussing plans.

With the rapid growth of the Sunshine Coast, new solutions for affordable housing are desperately needed. Coast2Bay Housing are actively working with the the government, council and industry partners to find sustainable solutions to help meet this demand. Last month, we were proud to be involved in the announcement of 22 new affordable homes for key workers in Marcoola.

The collaboration between the Queensland Government and Sunshine Coast Council will see 1-and 2 bedroom modular homes be built on vacant land in Marcoola. The homes will be targeted to low-income singles, couples and small family households, with a focus on key workers.  Coast2Bay Housing will manage the properties once complete, which is expected in mid-2025.

You can read Sunshine Coast Council’s news post for more details here.

Presently, all project enquires should be directed to the Sunshine Coast Council.
