May is Domestic Violence Prevention Month

Domestic Violence Prevention Month is an annual event held each May to raise awareness of the complexity of impacts of domestic and family violence – for individuals, families and the community.

Our foundation works in collaboration with many partners, both within our industry and those that support our cause.  Together, this month and beyond, we will strive to support the key aims of this annual event:

  • Raise community awareness of domestic and family violence
  • Promote a clear message of no tolerance of domestic and family violence
  • ensure those who need help and support know how to access it
  • encourage those responsible for abuse or violence to take responsibility for their behaviour and seek support to change.
There are a host of education and community events occurring across the month. We encourage you to follow our social media page as we will regularly share partner events, seminars and resources.  If you’d like to find out more about the work the team at RISE2 do, please get in touch.
